Students may join an online M.Ed. cohort at the beginning of any semester: August, January and June.
All classes are 8 weeks (1/2 semester) in length. Summer term is only 8 weeks in length. There are no ½
semester courses in the summer. During summer term, students will need to take two courses concurrently to
complete the program in two years. Some courses are not available in the summer: EDU 515, 546, 597, 585
and 625.

ODU undergraduate students engage in a variety of field experiences, including student teaching and community service. This face-to-face interaction with children and parents prepares our students to successfully teach in public urban and suburban, as well as private school settings.
Undergraduate graduates are also well-positioned for success in the job market. Ohio Dominican University has consistently been rated as effective by the Ohio Department of Education in the annual Report on the Quality of Teacher Education in Ohio. The courses are set up to provide you with a technology week before the class so you can spend some time familiarizing yourself with the online enviornment. We also provide Angel tutorials to use the course management system and a deomo course so you can see what you are getting into!
